What is included in my registration fee?
All registered cyclists receive:

– 2017 Tour de Greenbelt water bottle

– On-route support (SAG vehicle provided by Seaside Cycle)
– Water/nourishment stops

Where can I register?
You may pre-register online at www.bikereg.com before 5pm on Tuesday, September 12th. After that, you may register on the morning of the event, Saturday, September 16th at Greenbelt’s Cox Reservation starting at 7:30 am.
What time does it start?
The 50-mile start is at 9:00 am, and the 25-mile start is at 9:45 am. This is not a timed event, so cyclists are welcome to begin their ride anytime after these start times.
What is the route?
There is a 25-mile course and a 50-mile course. The routes are beautiful and pass by more than 50 scenic properties protected by Greenbelt!
Where is the start line?
The start for both 25- and 50-mile rides is located at Greenbelt’s beautiful Cox Reservation and Headquarters at 82 Eastern Avenue in Essex, MA.
Where is the finish line and post-ride festivities?
The finish line for both the 25- and 50- mile rides AND the post-ride festivities (included changing areas, live band, BBQ and beverages) are located at Greenbelt’s Cox Reservation. Ends at 3:00 p.m.
Is this a timed event?
No, this ride is not timed; however, cyclists are encouraged to ride as fast – or as slowly – as they feel comfortable. Competitive cyclists can opt to join the front of the pack at the start.
Where are the water stops?
The Topsfield Water Stop will serve riders on both the 25- and 50-mile loops. It is located at “Steward Field” at the intersection of Ipswich Road and Asbury Street in Topsfield.
The Newbury Water Stop will serve riders on the 50-mile loop. It is located on the southbound side of Route 1A at “Newbury Lower Green” in Newbury.
What should I bring with me?
– Helmet (mandatory)
– Water bottle
– Foul weather gear
– Dry clothes to change into at the finish line festivities
What if I need assistance?
Each cyclist will be given a wristband with a dedicated emergency number printed on it before the start of the ride.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking at the start/finish at 82 Eastern Avenue, Essex
Can I leave the ride in the middle of the route?
You can leave the ride at anytime; however, if you leave you just call the emergency number (which will be provided) to let us know you’re leaving so we don’t assume you are lost or missing.
I just want to join the post-party, can I buy BBQ and beer tickets?
Absolutely! BBQ and Beer tickets can be purchased at the event.
Live music is free! Event ends at 3:00 p.m.
Where can I leave my change of clothes during the ride?
Change of clothing can be left at a secure location at the Cox Reservation.
